Behind the build2 min read

The Rip Clip
is real.

The first wave of prototypes has been constructed. They’re finishing production, and soon we'll have our first shipment in hand! It's nice to stop for a second and take that in.

Keeping this one for the scrapbook.

A little piece of Highkers history

There it is.

There’s a particular feeling that comes with seeing the first photos of something you’ve been working toward. The big dumb grin. Opening the email agian. Sending the photo to someone who’s already seen it.

That’s where we're at.

The first Rip Clip prototypes exist. The bowl, diameter of the air intake, the size of the clip. Things we’ve been talking about are sitting on a workbench, casting an actual shadow.

This felt like a moment worth sharing.

Highkers started with a familiar frustration: a "chronically forgetful" highker leaves their bowl right where he left it, on a log, or somewhere back down the trail. The Rip Clip is our answer in progress—a compact titanium pipe with an integrated gear clip, designed to be unforgettable.

Seeing that idea take shape is a big deal to us. So these first workshop photos get a page of their own.

From the workbench

The first photo roll.

Foam, gloves, workshop paper. The first look at a very real milestone. Open any photo for a closer look.

The other side of the unfinished Rip Clip body on protective foam.
02 / A look at the other side.
A gloved hand holds the Rip Clip with its wire gate fitted, bowl to the right.
03 / Fully assembled!
A gloved hand shows the reverse side of the Rip Clip and its silver wire gate.

The next chapter

Finish up. Ship out.

Production is wrapping up on this first wave. Shipping the prototypes is the next step. We’ll share more as they make their way into our hands and we get a closer look.

These are development prototypes; the final product details and release dates are still to come. Today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate how far we've come!

If you’ve been following along, thanks for being here for this part. It means a lot to have people watching our idea become something you can hold.

See you in the next chapter.
